The Shopping
The West Edmonton Mall is the largest attraction within Edmonton West. This is a massive building that has amazing retail selections along with several full-sized attractions like a waterpark, aquarium, and rollercoasters! Additional attractions include a mini putt course, a bowling alley, and an escape room.
Edmonton West also features several plazas and other great malls like the Southgate Centre, Terra Losa Shopping Centre, and Westmount Centre. While there's endless great shopping choices, you'll find all your favourite department stores at the Edmonton West SmartCentre, conveniently close to most of our west end apartment buildings.
The Outdoors
The natural landscape of Edmonton West is seriously breathtaking! The North Saskatchewan River flows along Edmonton West's east border, and with it are plenty of parks and green spaces to enjoy. The Edmonton Valley Zoo, just a few minutes from nearly all of our west end apartments, is a great place to enjoy nature and wildlife. If you fancy a game of golf, several golf courses can be found along the riverside.
If you're looking to cool down this summer, check out the Fred Broadstock outdoor pool. This massive pool features six lanes for swimming and three 1-3 metre diving boards, as well as a spray park for the little ones. Dry off and shoot some hoops, or grab a bite at the concession stand. Residents at our west end apartments can rejoice that this pool is open to the public for free all summer season, which ends in September, weather permitting.
The Food
Dining out is easy with so many amazing restaurants in the area. Whatever your tastes, you're sure to find a mouthwatering feast to suit your needs, like at New Asian Village, Mikado Westside, or Homefire Grill. Finding a great cup of coffee and a sweet treat won't take long here either, with Café Blackbird, The Tea Place, and several Second Cup locations throughout the city.
The Events
Edmonton West has its share of exciting events and festivals too! In July, the Brick Invitational Hockey Tournament is held at the Ice Palace within the West Edmonton Mall, and in August, you can explore the North Saskatchewan River with the EPCOR Riverfest.
