Many students are currently attending virtual school due to the current COVID-19 uncertainty.

While students will still receive teacher led instruction, parents may want to supplement that with hands on learning.

Here in Edmonton we have a plethora of educational attractions perfect for in-person field trips.

The Royal Alberta Museum

9810 103a Avenue NW, Edmonton

The Royal Alberta Museum, just minutes from The Metropolitan apartments, is open to the public. However, tickets must be purchased in advance for a specific time through the day. Kids can learn about a wide variety of bugs at the Bug Gallery or study the gems and minerals in the Natural History Hall. RAM also has several at home activities, quizzes, games, and virtual tours as a fun way to extend learning.

Alberta Aviation Museum

11410 Kingsway NW, Edmonton

Get up close to some of the most magnificent airplanes in history. The Alberta Aviation Museum, just three minutes from Wynford Apartments, is open for timed ticket entry. Guests can purchase tickets online prior to visiting the museum for a specific time slot and enjoy 2 hours to view the historic World War II aircrafts on display.

TELUS World of Science

11211 142 Street NW, Edmonton

Learn and discover at the TELUS World of Science, just a short ride, drive, or walk from our Squire Arms. Safely visit the Science of Ripley's Believe It or Not, the Zeidler Dome, and the IMAX theatre. Kids will learn the science behind some of the world's most intriguing objects and amazing artifacts. Tickets must be pre-purchased online.

Art Gallery of Alberta

2 Sir Winston Churchill Square, Edmonton

Bring your family to AGA to view remarkable photographs, works of art, and paintings in galleries throughout the building. Pre-booked tickets are required to visit the gallery. Expand the learning at home with AGA school programs for children to attend from home throughout the year. AGA is a 10 minute walk or 6 minute LRT ride from our Fox Two Rentals.

In addition to Edmonton's museums and galleries, the University of Alberta's Botanic Garden is offering free admission to children and students this fall. Please reserve your visit by booking a time slot online. Residents of our Elements at Windermere are closest to this astonishing 97 hectare (240-acre) parkland.
