Celebrate the holiday season at the 5th annual Edmonton Christmas Market. Running until Dec. 17th, this event is sure to have you decking the halls and wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. The market takes place at Fort Edmonton Park and is the perfect activity for friends and families of all ages.

There is plenty to enjoy over this large event. If you’re still looking for the special gift for a special someone or even a couple stocking stuffers, check out the over 100 rotating local vendors in buildings 2, 4, 9 and 12. From art to soap to jewellery to treats and more, you are sure to find the perfect gift. Check their website to know who will be at the market when.

If you love to eat and try new foods, you won’t want to miss the 10+ local food pop-ups at the food and beverage hall. The market is featuring some local favourites, including Cinnamon Princess, Thoroughfare Baked Goods and Woodshed Cafe and Burger Food Truck. For those looking to indulge in some alcoholic beverages, there are a variety of local beers and craft cocktails, made in collaboration with market sponsor Bacardi. If the alcohol can’t keep you warm, there are fire pits located around the premises.

You will always be entertained with live performances occurring every hour. These are movies, carolers, movies, theatrical shows and more. A couple highlights are a live ice carving show and plenty of light displays that will have you in awe. For any kids looking to meet Santa, you’re in luck! He is making a special stop at the Edmonton Christmas Market to meet everyone and take pictures. Make sure to say hello and see if you made the nice list.

Travel the market in style. Hop on one of the many carousels, trolleys or sleigh rides. I bet you’ll hear those sleigh bells jingle-ing and ring-ting tingle-ing.

The Edmonton Christmas Market is partnering up with three organizations to help give back to the community. Buy some 50-50 tickets to support the Christmas Bureau of Edmonton, drop off coats and winter wear donations for the United Way of the Alberta Capital Region, and use the text-to-donate signs scattered around the park to give to the Edmonton Food Bank.

Tickets vary from $17 to $20 with children under 5 getting in free. There are a limited number of walk-up tickets available each day, so make sure to grab yours online ahead of time for a discounted rate.

All our Edmonton locations are within a 28-minute drive of the grounds. Residents at our Colonial Arms, Waverly Arms and Crestview Apartments are closest with only a 6-minute commute. Free parking is available onsite. You can also take ETS Bus Line 4 to be dropped off right in front of the park.
