Food Truck Fridays have been running in Red Deer’s Capstone neighbourhood every Friday since mid-May, giving the opportunity to try various tasty offerings from several local food trucks. The plan is to run until the end of September (weather dependent). If you're headed to Capstone, don't miss out on Queen Bees and Three Pink Flamingos.

Queen Bees

Indulge your sweet tooth with Queen Bees Food Truck's scrumptious gourmet fries and delectable desserts. Founded by identical twins Cassandra Ramsay and Carmen Harrison, this Central Alberta gem has been delighting patrons since 2015. Now, with the addition of Queen Bees Sweets, they offer dessert boxes and exquisite French Macarons year-round.

Their passion for baking, dedication to using the freshest ingredients, and commitment to their community make Queen Bees a must-visit culinary experience. Treat yourself or your loved ones to the joy and convenience of their dessert boxes and savor the warmth and love poured into every bite.

“We’re excited to bring everybody back together in Capstone,” said Carmen Harrison, owner of Queen Bees Food Truck and an organizer of Food Truck Fridays.

“I think we had a really good start for our first year in Capstone. I think with more word of mouth and advertising, it’ll continue to get busier.

“It’s great to have additional seating, garbage cans around, and pathways for people to walk on. Also, there are local coffee shops around. I think it’s a good space to bring larger groups and the community as a whole together. There’s also a water park there for the kids.”

Three Pink Flamingos

Three Pink Flamingos is a delightful family-owned and operated mobile ice cream shop that takes immense pride in serving an irresistible array of treats to satisfy all your cravings. Indulge in premium ice cream, mouth-watering sorbets, refreshing beverages, snacks, all-beef hot dogs, and freshly made paninis - they have it all!

Genesis Schuh, the visionary founder, holds dear the sweet memories of savouring ice cream while exploring new places. Fueled by these cherished moments, just four months after the birth of her second son, Genesis decided to share the magic with her children and the community. Thus, Three Pink Flamingos came to life in the charming town of Devon, Alberta. Now, both locals and visitors can bask in the joy of these delectable treats and create their own cherished memories with every delightful visit to Three Pink Flamingos.

Other food trucks participating include Simple Spice and Holy Moly Donuts and more.
