Easter is quickly approaching, but we’ve got some EGGciting events and activities to enjoy near your Edmonton and area rentals.

In Red Deer, families can head over to the Gasoline Alley Market for an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday April 16th from 11am to 3pm. At this free event, just minutes from our Westbrook Manor apartments, kids will follow clues to find all the eggs and then get a prize. Residents in Edmonton can visit the Edmonton Valley Zoo for an Easter Egg Hunt on Monday April 18th. The zoo will also have Easter crafts, an EGGcellent Touch table, and a roving magician doing magic tricks throughout the zoo. Regular admission with timed entry required for entry to the zoo.

Egg decorating is a time honored tradition. Whether you dip your eggs in dye or paint them with a brush, these craft eggs are perfect for decorating. They don’t break which also makes them a good choice for young decorators. This year, learn to decorate your own eggs in new and creative ways

Rather join a workshop? On Saturday April 9th the Painting and Multicraft Studio in St. Albert is hosting a Ukrainian Egg Decorating workshop, just minutes from our Churchill Properties Condominiums. Additionally in Edmonton, The Carrot Community Arts Coffeehouse hosts a family Dip Dye Easter egg program on Saturday April 16th, this event is just a short drive from our Westwood House Apartments.

Looking for some EGGtastic family activities this Easter? Why not try making Easter Peeps houses? Easter Peeps Houses are like a gingerbread house, but for Easter Peeps. This fun and delicious activity uses Pop Tarts or graham crackers to make a house, then icing and candy to decorate the outside and an Easter Peep for inside.

Have an aspiring equestrian in your family? The Whitemud Equine Learning Centre is offering Easter Trail Rides, just 8 minutes from our Astoria Apartments. On April 17th, kids are invited to a guided trail ride that will last approximately 30 minutes. Helmets and hot chocolate are provided, and each child will receive a free treat bag.
