New to Edmonton or considering moving here? We've got some amazing facts to help you get to know this remarkable city.

  • Edmonton is the sunniest city in Canada. On the first day of summer, the city typically gets an incredible 17 hours of sunlight. Annually the sun casts its rays for an amazing 2,300 hours. Residents of our Gillianne Manor can soak up the sun while exploring the nearby North Saskatchewan River.

  • Edmonton has the first ever Neon Sign Museum in Canada. Historic neon lights from Edmonton's past have been restored and hang together along the sides of the buildings at 104 Street and 104 Avenue, across from Rogers Place. Our El Mirador Apartments are just a short walk from this open-air museum.

  • Edmonton is home to Canada's largest planetarium. Telus World of Science is the largest planetarium in Canada with numerous exhibits, experiments, activities, and events. The museum is open daily and can be found just minutes from our Barrymore Apartments.

  • The Art Gallery of Alberta is the oldest cultural institution in Alberta. The 85,000 square foot AGA building was founded in 1924 and is home to over 6,000 works of art. The building itself is a work of art, referencing both the North Saskatchewan River and the Aurora Borealis with its angular windows and winding steel ribbon. Residents of our Fox Two Executive Suites are a quick LRT ride from this cultural institution.

  • Edmonton has the largest mall in Canada. The West Edmonton Mall, at 5.3 million square feet, is the size of a small city. This mall features 800 retail stores, two hotels, 100 dining establishments, and 8 world-class attractions. When you live at Elmwood Apartments, the WEM is only a 4 minute transit ride away.
